Vijay Kumar, a resident of Gram Panchayat Pargoda of Changar area of Shahpur, was serving in the BSF. He was posted on his duty in Meghalaya. He died when a herd of elephants attacked him while on duty in Meghalaya on August 9.
Today his mortal remains were brought to his native village, where he was cremated with military honours. During this, the people of the area along with the family bid farewell to the brave soldier with moist eyes. District Magistrate Dr. Nipun Jindal participated in the funeral of brave soldier Vijay Kumar and expressed his condolences to the family members.
We will always be indebted to the brave soldiers who sacrificed everything to protect the country.
